Promotion Policy
- The students will be prepared for the Central Board of Secondary Education Examination in Class X and XII. In classes XI & XII, the school offers Science, Commerce and Humanities streams to the students.
- Evaluations/tests are a regular feature. Attendance is compulsory. The final results will be declared based on accumulative assessment throughout the year.
- On the days when Periodic test is held, students will remain in school for the entire day, except for Half Yearly/Annual Exam.
- A child should not be sent to school if they are unwell. No short leave, half days, or early pickups are allowed during examination days.
- Use of unfair means during an exam / evaluation will warrant disqualification from the same. The student will be awarded zero. Stern action will be taken in case of any repetition.
- A student helping another in the exam will be guilty of encouraging the use of unfair means. Both will be awarded zero.
- Students will be seated ten minutes before the start of an evaluation / test. This is with specific reference to tests held in the zero period. No extra time will be allotted.
- The school follows the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE), where the overall performance of students is assessed through Periodic Tests, classwork, projects, oral work, and classroom activities conducted throughout the academic year.
- Periodic Tests are a regular feature of the assessment process, and attendance in these tests is compulsory.
- The final result will be declared on the basis of cumulative assessment throughout the academic year.
- No re-test will be conducted for Periodic Tests under any circumstances.
- If a student misses the Second Periodic Test with permission, 75% of the marks obtained in the First Periodic Test will be considered for Second Periodic Test.
- If a student misses both Periodic Tests with permission, the student will be awarded 40% marks for both the Periodic Tests. However, he/she will be allotted actual marks for the other activities which are a part of formative assessment.
- Promotion to the next class will be based on the overall performance of the student throughout the academic year, including participation and conduct.
- The decision of the school regarding promotion will be final.
- The school follows the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE), where students are assessed through Periodic Tests, Mid-Term Examination, Annual Examination, classwork, projects, and other classroom activities conducted throughout the academic year.
- Periodic Tests are a regular part of the assessment process, and attendance in these tests is compulsory.
- Since only one Periodic Test is conducted, attendance in the test is compulsory and no re-test will be conducted.
- If a student remains absent in the Periodic Test, the average marks obtained in the Term Examinations (Mid-Term and Annual Examination) will be allotted in place of the Periodic Test.
- To be declared Pass, a student must obtain at least 40% marks or the equivalent grade in each subject.
- A student must pass in all academic subjects to be eligible for promotion to the next class.
- Retests for Term Examinations (Mid-Term and Annual Examination) may be granted only in genuine cases such as illness certified by a Registered Medical Practitioner or participation in National, State, or International Games and Sports with prior approval of the Principal.
- Absence in any Mid-Term and Annual Examination without submission of a valid medical certificate within three working days will be treated as wilful absence, and no marks, credit, or allowance will be granted for the missed examination.
- Promotion to the next class will be based on the cumulative performance of the student throughout the academic year.
- The decision of the school regarding promotion will be final.
- The school follows the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). Students are assessed through Periodic Tests, Multiple Assessments, Portfolio, Subject Enrichment Activities, Mid-Term Examination, and Annual Examination conducted throughout the academic year.
- For Class IX, three Periodic Tests will be conducted during the academic session, out of which the best two scores will be considered for assessment. Periodic Tests are a regular part of the assessment process, and attendance in these tests is compulsory.
- If a student remains absent in any Periodic Test, the remaining Periodic Test scores will be considered while calculating the best two Periodic Test marks.
- If a student remains absent in all Periodic Tests, the average marks obtained in the Term Examinations (Mid-Term and Annual Examination) will be considered in place of the Periodic Test marks.
- To be declared Pass, a student must obtain at least 33% marks in each subject.
- A student must pass in all academic subjects to be eligible for promotion to the next class.
- If a student secures less than 33% marks in one subject, a retest may be conducted in that particular subject.
- If a student secures less than 33% marks in more than two subjects, the student will be detained and will not be promoted to the next class.
- Retests for Term Examinations (Mid-Term and Annual Examination) may be granted only in genuine cases, such as illness certified by a Registered Medical Practitioner or participation in National, State, or International Games and Sports with prior approval of the Principal.
- Absence in any Mid-Term or Annual Examination without submission of a valid medical certificate within three working days will be treated as wilful absence, and no marks, credit, or allowance will be granted for the missed examination.

- Appearing in Periodic tests, Mid term Examination and Annual Examination is mandatory.
- No examination will be conducted either before or after the scheduled date and time. Exam dates are decided in advance. The exam cannot be conducted on any other date/day for parents' personal convenience/ requirement.
- If a student has not appeared in an Examination, she/he will be marked Absent.
- 75% attendance is a must for a student to appear for Mid term and Final Examination. In case a student falls short of the mandatory attendance, then he/she will not be eligible to appear in the Mid term and Final Examination. Please ensure that your ward fulfills the attendance criteria.
